Just a quick question regarding DFS:
I have two sites. Users connect to home directories on a server at each. These Win2k3 servers have DFS enabled now with replication.
I can set the user's My Documents directory to \\domain\Home\username, or manually set servers. (\\SiteAServer\Home\SiteAUser1\)
The only question I have regarding this is when using \\domain\Home\username, does the user automatically read from the Primary server of the replication? If so, some will be connecting to an off-site server, which is unacceptable. Does it have some way to recognize that they have a site in the replication scheme that is closer to them? Or should I just use my manual configuration?
Thank you very much!
