As the title says i don't understand why all my drives whenever accessed for a good amount of data get "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2\D." in the event viewer and eventually switch to PIO mode. Originally i thought it was on one channel that has a 200 gig drive and a DVDRW on it but now i noticed it does it on my other channel with two 80 gig IDE drives as well! My voltages seem as stable as they were months ago before this started happening. Ideas?

Cables (including power cables, if your vid card is pulling on the same wire as the HDDs, that can be a problem)
Drivers
Diagnostics on the drive

Cables? Nope. Everything is seperated per the right way not to mention it was fine for months until recently. Drivers? Possible. I was thinking to go back one or two steps on the nvidia ide drivers actually! Diagnostics? I can't see all the ide drives going bad at the same time! ;)
