i'm having a serious problem with this board i have no clue whats going on.

first time i boot up. works find but i didn't have hsf.
2nd time around put in hsf tried booting it again.

got the verifying data then BOSD then restart and it continues again.

what should i do thanks for the response.
 
Maybe you killed the chip by booting it without the heatsink on it the first time. Hence the one time function.
 
yeah if you booted up with the cpu installed with no hsf you pretty much fried the board.. the board doesnt support auto shut down on high temps by default.. the cpu might of supported it.. but still takes the system 2-3 seconds to shut down..
