Long story short I messed up and accidentally yank out a hotswap drive while still in windows 2003 r2. The server is running raid 5 with three drives. I let the controller rebuild the drive I yanked and I had to run a partition recovery program to recovery the partition which I can see everything now but it will not boot and I can not figure out why. With any partition software can see the drive and so can windows recovery. I am able to load a PE disk (windows xp on a disk) and browse the files. I have tried fixmbr, fixboot and bootcfg but still will not boot. The error I get is 'Strike F1 to retry boot or F2 to enter setup'. Please can anybody help? It's a dell 2950 server with a perc6 controller.
