Desktop Resolution problems

So Ive been having this problem for awhile now ( cant remember exactly when it started happening but Ive narrowed it down to a couple possibilities ) My TVs native resolution is 1920x1080, when I set my resolution to this in the control panel the screen extends beyond the border of the TV, the only way I can get it to display correctly is by resizing it, but then I get the resolution of 1876x1056. The only reasons I could think that this would be happening is either SLI mode, driver issue, or windows 7 ( yes I know its beta still but theres driver support there ) if anyone else has encountered the same problem or knows of a workaround, your help would be greatly appreciated.

olevia hdtv 242TFHD, I wanna stress that its not a tv related issue because at one point the native resolution did display correctly

I had this exact same problem when I hooked this computer (see sig) up to my 60 inch TV which has the same native resolution. The way I fixed it was going into the Nvidia Control Panel and under the Video & Televsion section on the left, there is the option to "Adjust video image settings". I cannot walk you step by step how I was able to do it from there, since I am not currently using that monitor, and I do not remember but I was able to find the fix in that section of the Nvidia Control Panel. Hope this helps.

looking more at that tab, the only options it gives me are: edge enhancement, noise reduction, and deinterlacing, none of which effect the resolution of the desktop. Also the control panel recognizes the tv as Olevia 242FHD-T11 maybe the little extra info will help ;)

Try screwing around with the other options in the control panel. I vaguely remember having the option of typing in the exact resolution I wanted to run. Or there was a slider bar of some type that allowed me to size down the current resolution.

what do you mean by size down? I can change the resolution like normal and I can re-size the desktop, but neither of those are what Im trying to achieve. Does anyone know if it could be a problem with the flat panel scaling
