I know there's dozens of threads on the subject, but I'm new and slightly overwhelmed by the number of cases and respective lack of reviews. What are my best options for a quiet, well managed (airflow and wires) desktop case? While I'm not actually using the computer for HTPC, functionally that's how I would prefer it to be stacked on top of av equipment.
My preferences would be:
at least 2x external 5.25 drives and 3 3.5 internal drives
ATX mobo
gts 250 or 4870 friendly
goodly sound and airflow management
Less do-dads/lcd panels/etc on the front. Think plain.
Basically a Antec Solo laid on its side would be dandy--unless that is a legitimate option, since nothing would be directly stacked on top of it. Would a 4u rackmount be another legitimate way?
Anyhow, thanks for any and all help.
Daniel
