Desktop Customization

Personally I, and everyone I know who uses a modded shell, use Aston. Pretty hardcore stuff there ;), should be able to cater for all your modding needs.
 
I've tried shell replacements like Aston and BB4Win but never really liked any of the interfaces offered. But to prettify my XP environment I use:

  1. UXTheme.dll hack for skinning windows instead of using one of those skinning programs like windowblinds
  2. Rainlendar (a calendar for your desktop)
  3. ObjectDock (like the OSX bar)
  4. Active Desktop + Custom webpage with links to favourites and such

I'll post more when I think of them, I'm t work right now and we're not allowed to install anything so minimal customizing done here:(
