sorry I don't have a digital camera but i'll try to explain the best I can. English isn't my main language so if it sounds weird eheh.
I got a nice desk (strong, nicely build) but the color is pretty ugly. Some kind of old light blue and dark gray color. It's not a "L" shape desk. I got it for 50$ bucks only. It was from a doctor office.

59inch by 29inch , height is 28 inch

Anyways, I would like to paint the desk to something else. Maybe all black but I realy have no clue what to use. The desk is made from wood but it has some kind of plastic covering all over it if you know what I mean. I don't know if vinyl would be better than painting it? I'd to do something with that desk..

if you have any suggestion please let me know

hmm i'm trying to search google for Vynil and all I come up with is Vynil Music related

can someone help me please! i'm trying to find good quality vynil to cover my desk

its because you cant spell it

in your original post you said 'vinyl'

and now you're looking for 'vynil'..

the correct spelling is 'vinyl'

and Im not sure how good of a surface vinyl would be, its similar to leather I think

Koslov, are you Russian?

There's a good chance the "wood" look is just a veneer. Which doesn't mean much if you're just vinyl dying it, but if your sanding it could start looking ugly. A real, solid-wood desk would probably cost considerably more.

Koslov you speak better English than a lot of forum members whose only language is English :)

I think he is trying to say it has a laminated top like a formica counter top..I had a coffee table that was like that...if that is the case you should check with your local home improvement (Home Depot/Lowes) and tell them what you are trying to paint...the other option would be to find a paint supplier and tell them what you have and they should also be able to tell you what you will need to paint it

If its a laminated top, I would go to a local hardware/home improvement store and look to see what kind of countertop material they have. Peel off that laminiated crap and put down what you want. Other than that, get some good solid wood, cut it to the same dimensions of your desktop, pull the old top off and put the new one on. Lacquer, polish, and have a shiny new desktop.

Other than that, there was the suggestion in another thread about a plexi top desk, which would be cool as well, especially with a few ccfl's, bright led's, etc lighting it up :D
