Ok, I'm designing a new desk, and did it up real quick in Autocad. Tell me what you guys think, or if theres any thing you guys would do to it. Mods, move at discretion, but dont delete. PLEASE.

I persionally not like how this monitor stand or place is, and the I think it would be better if the edge the monitor is facing is round

Too small for me

But it looks like you've got a good plan going here!

Too bad you're better at AutoCAD than Paint :p

Sitting in a corner can be annoying for some, I like my desk parallel with my keyboard/monitor.

ooo ok. well nothing is set in stone, thats why I posted here :) and besides, that only took me half an hour. i can change it and stuff real fast

How about this... instead of having that nasty inside corner, make it a 45 degree angle with the two sides, and wide enough for your mouse/keyboard. I agree with the above poster, sitting in that inside corner would be suck.

Perfect

Funny how that didn't pop out at me at first (the inside corner), but you wouldn't catch me at a desk like that for more than 5 minutes.

I've you've got the space, I think a long straight desk is the best. Personally I need a huge keyboard tray, so corner or angled desks don't work so well for me.

I don't have a Jerker, but if I had to do it over again that's the way I'd go. Lots of real estate for your money IMHO...

could you change the support system for the desk. the corner going right looks kinda goofy. Using the vertical supports and the, what looks like 2x4's seems kinda crude. Could you run a piece across the back that attached to the side and to the top which would offer support and keep it from racking, while keeping a clean look.

sorta like this (sorry about it being done in paint)

More like that ish? *NOTE* I will have boards going across the back, I removed them so you could see.

i totally agree!

yeah, there you go, now thats a desk i would buy for myself!

I would personally want a much LONGER desk...one one of the sides even being in the corner!! The more realestate the better!

But then I have a crapload of computers & monitors & laptops and a small desk, and could probably use a three story desk that's like 14' long  (6 computers, 3 monitors (1x24", 2x17"), 1 laptop with just monitors & laptop on desk that's 7' x 36")
