Designing a new case, input requested

You should look into extensive venting, both in front and back. Vents on the top and bottom would also be nice. Also, you may want to look beyond the 120 mm fans. It's not too hard to source some slow-turning yet effective 120-180 mm fans that are still compatible with a mid-tower design. For efficient cooling, ducting or compartmentalized designs are very useful.

the superiority of this layout may not be appreciated by most...but long before this i had a design almost identical to this i was building in aluminum. A 13" cube...just like the one here www.cubedpc.com

Well, it looks like my design group and I decided to go another direction with our design project, so we won't be doing the case. I'd like to keep this thread alive, though, since i'd like to either design the case on my own, or maybe use for my senior design project next semester.

The good news is I can take it any direction I want now, though!

Thanks for all the input. I welcome more!
