Hey guys, tell me what you think of the DESIGN. I know the links dont work, and im still trying to figure out how to make that one height attribute go away so the page will validate, any ideas on how to fix that would be greatly appreaciated.

really tight design, I like it

The only thing is, the black text on dark grey is a little hard to read (try going with a darker black for the text ;) ) Lighten up the background a little (not much as I like the grey you have)
 
I don't think it's at all hard to read. Nice design in all aspects, then again every site I make someone tells me to use a different font/font effect because they can't read it.
 
agreed, the header is too big .. and the border is clunky other than that nice colors.. looks like a promising design
 
Thanks guys. I wasnt planning on making the text black, thats just what I made it for the time being. I was thinking maybe white, or something.....Im open for suggestions.

I know the header is a little big, im working on shortening that down now.

EDIT: Fixed that huge space in the header!
 
That's a cool design...

One thing though, the gray area on the right is a little bit lower than the gray area on the left.

Yeah, I purposely changed the color on it to get a feel for some different grey's contrasting together.
 
normaly i dont like the drop shadow effect (cause its on like 30 different blog default templates which makes up a massive part of the internet now) but this doesn't bug me. The rest of the site designed nicely too , it all fits together without anything really standing out and saying 'Hey i dont belong here" , good job.
 
Invalid HTML (There is no height attribute on the tables you're using improperly).

If you insist on using tables please justify your text towards the top of the cells.

As for the layout... I don't really like it because it seems overly complex.
