It's proof that people CAN be retrained. :D

This is ture, I use this mini all the time despite that fact that I manage a medium to large size windows domain. More power to the Mac.

Yeah, it's good to see this "Mac thing" happening...I think it's good for the industry overall. It'll teach Microsoft some new tricks, as well as some lessons OS wise, and Mac will be getting stronger software support as an effect of this situation...it's win-win, IMO. I think it's a healthy thing. :)

Hmm, new to the forums with [H]ard OCP, and new to Macs, had a deep hatred of everything upto OS X - whoever said OS 9 and below were stable had never used them obviously.
Mac Mini bought for dev work (i.e. at this cheap they are going to encrouch into the market, got to keep the customers happy!) lovely little bit of kit I will admit, although I suspect my new found admiration has more to do with the fact that it is now really Linux and finally I can get at bits of the OS than anything else! Suspect terminal and the browser are going to be my my most used apps!
It's coupled with a 17" flat screen and a Mac keyboard (could not believe this were £20 - less than 3rd party manufacturers!) with a MS intellimouse.

FCP HD on 1.42/80GB, 512MB Corsair XMS ( :p ), 160GB LaCie Firewire
AOC Spectrum 19" CRT @ 1600x1200, 75hz

Sony PD-170, Sony VX-2100 (Both work cams), Canon Optura20 (Personal)
Mitsubishi S-VHS VCR, GoldStar 15" TV for NTSC monitor.
Homebrew headphone amp, Sennheiser HD580
Griffen Powermate for jogging footage

The mini plays second fiddle to my Xeon dualliebeast but I really do love the little thing. Besides that, it payed for itself in less than 48 hours of ownership since I could edit FCP stuff for work at home.

I wish I could figure out FCP HD. I bought it offa ebay thinking I would learn video and get a cam, but it's been 7 months and I hevent done SQUAT. :D

I wanted to learn it so I could produce political ads for the Libertarian Party in future campaigns, but I just havent followed through with it.

I'll trade you lessons for your G5
I don't quite swing libertarian but at least you didn't say dem. or green

I'm pretty good with FCP (or I wouldn't be doing editing with it professionally one would hope) but I still prefer to use (and am stronger with) Premiere pro. I have likes and dislikes about both though. Anyway... PM me if you want to talk FCP...I'm down when I'm not too busy.

*edit* my pc doesn't play games

Just got the M-Audio FastTrack... I've been playing around with GarageBand and my Strat.
