Well, i'm trying to find a dependable psu that COMES with a case. I've seen pleny of posts about how most case psu's are bad, and i'm wondering if there are any case manufactureres that make good, dependable PSU's. The reason for this is that i don't want my 6800 gt to go poof just because of a lousy psu. Help me out please?

short answer: doesn't exist.
long answer: it most likely doesn't exist, if you try 100s and 100s of cases maybe eventually you'll find one good case/PSU combo...the best deal is ALWAYS to buy a separate PSU and then buy your case (unless your case, somehow, comes with a good PSU attached).

this should be in the PSU forum; you'd get more specific/better help there...

Antec cases have Antec PSU's. Thermaltake cases have Thermaltake PSU's.

I'm sure there are still other case brands that ship with quality PSU's.

Antec True430.

Actually, that's beyond just decent. A regular Antec is decent. A TruePower is just plain good, second only to PCP&C from the reviews I've read.

Yea i have that case myself. Its a really good case and the Antec True Power 430w is a top quality PSU. The only downside is you better not plan on moving the case around very much after you get it loaded down because mine weighs a ton with everything in it.

Lol I know. If you think that's bad, I've got a 12 bay Antec case. Actually, I could cram 12HDs, 3 opticals, and 1 floppy into it if I wanted to. 6x 5.25 external, 2x 3.5 external, and 4x 3.5 internal but the 4 internal mounts actually have room for 6 drives if I install something like 6 5400 rpm IDEs that can sit right next to each other & not need cooling.
My current load out is a dual Athlon w/ SLK-800As, 6 cards, 3 opticals, and 1 HD. I'll be adding 3 more HDs next week when I move my FC-AL stuff (external case) to my Linux box. Of course, an external 16x5.25" box w/ 10 fc-al drives isn't light either. And no, I don't move it unless I'm working on it or my bed & couch are going too. (Ie- I move)
I use my 2GHz Athlon powered iMac for lans & such. It's much lighter & even has a handle. :)

That's why I got the Chenming Aluminum clone (with window of course), and put in a True430. ;) $30 more, but the savings in weight was worth it to me.

no. The only brands of psu's that you want to get are listed in the sticky at the top of the forum. Stay away from everyone else.

I also have the Antec 1080. It's heavy, built like a tank (except for the door), great to work with and a very good deal to boot.
