I just broke 20k PPD yesterday.
I know that these days that's only ho-hum average...but I'm trying to play with the big dogs. ;) Mow lightly.
 
Way to go, my current aim has been reduced from 14k to 10k PPD... :cool:

20k is a lot of work :)

 
It's going to be hard to catch you if your pushing the same ppd ;)

Touche´, this folding team, without a doubt, is the ¨rockingest´¨, ¨sockingest´¨, ¨bestiest´¨ and sometimes poor Englishest´ folding team in the whole world, universe and the freakin´ galexy. :p

It´s amazing when 20 grand worth of pernts is only about average to, as Mr relic says, play with the ¨big dogs¨, which to me is the same thing as the ¨heavy hitters¨. Just remember, as tired as this may sound, EVERY folder counts and EVERY completed WU is a step toward getting some diseases by the ¨short hairs¨ and finding a cure for them. ;)

Yep when you take our top 100 folder we don't even carry about a 15% of the team.. so it is everyone that makes it happen!

20k PPD is no small feat, especially in summer with all the crashes and what-not. That's still good to maintain a top 20 position on the team.

Yeh, points are for competition.

The so called big dogs are the ones that help others get more points out of their rigs. This has a much larger effect that one person pushing an extra 5k.

 
Amen EvilAlchemist, Xilikon & Kendrak! The true "big dogs" are those that help out everyone, no matter how may PPD or WU's they finish in a day. The point is to get as many people to feel comfortable with the program & asking questions here so that they will tell their friends, and so on and so forth.

Like Sunin said, our top 100 producers only output 15% of our output on a given day, so the real help is the 1300 or so members that output 100-5,000PPD and have one or two boxes, and may not even be using a graphics card. Those folks and the people who help them get up and running are the reason why our team is #1.
 
I find it funny it's the newcomers who give old timers a lesson :p It's a case of disciples surpassing the master ;)

On the cereal side, the newer members are definitely bringing loads of "intelligence baggage" (in other words they're pretty smart) :D

You have to remember for every new guy that posts a question and gets answered, countless others find their same problem mentioned in a thread and fix it behind the scenes. I just got started doing this and I'm sitting on 52 WUs completed with more borgs planned whenever I can get it done.
 
Yeah I managed to have a 10k ppd day the other day, and the bulk of the people on my threat list are no longer on it. Now I've got to rma my 8800gt, and I have a feeling they will be right back on my threat list :(

The big dogs are [H] folders, AKA the elephant stampede.

You want to run with the big dogs, you gotta learn to piss in the tall grass. :)
