I went to a Dell Outlet and demo'ed the original 3007wfp and a 24". After seeing the 3007 and playing with it the 24" seems way too small. I felt immersed in movies and games on the 3007 whereas on the 24" I felt I would be left wanting for more.

I tried the 3007 at resolutions other than 2560x1600. I tried 1900x1200 and a few others. The text certainly wasn't as crisp but it was easily workable and I would have no problems viewing text for extended periods of time at lower resolutions. They didn't have WoW but I tried Tomb Raider and LoTR both of which looked great.

I watched a couple HD trailers including TMNT. The quality was excellent.

I noticed a definite SSE (silk screen effect) on bright white scenes with the 30". No where near as bad as RP LCD such as some of the Sony TVs but still a minor issue.

Does anyone know if there are exisiting HD-DVD available for computers? I have a 360 HD-DVD for my 51" but would want one for my computer. Also are there any HD d/l or rental services known to be in the works?

The Dell 30" really is nice if you have a videocard that can handle the res. You already have an HD-DVD player for your pc...google is your friend.;)

1280x800 looks really nice on the screen since it scales perfectly with the native res. If the software won't run well at full res, dropping down to one-quarter size and cranking up the AA is a usable option.
