Hi, I am interested in getting one of the new Dell XPS 700 machines. I intend to wait for the Core Duo 2 to be released before buying, but I can't seem to find a decent review online? All that I can find is the usual CNET crappy reviews and the odd video.

Has anybody got one of these? Can you please post some pictures and give us a bit of a breakdown?

Cheers.

I have been thinking of picking up an XPS 700 but will probably go Velocity Micro.

I have just been unable to find any real reviews of the XPS 700 and they dropped the option of having a 7900 GT card. I think the 7900 GTX is a little much and the 7900 GS is to low. Then the "included" monitor has a 16 ms grey to grey? Helloooo ghosting... :(

I imagine if any Dell has the Conroe on it it will be the XPS 700 and I actually like the design. Thought is was ugly at first but it kind of grows on you.

With up to a thirty day build time before shipping I doubt many people have them yet so it will probably be another month or two before any real reviews start showing up online.

I will be going Velocity too but was interested in the XPS 700 too. First of all they are huge. In their magazine ad they are placed next to a moniter, oh no big deal, right a 20", read the fine print, shown with the 3007wfp, The are taller than a 30" moniter, crazy. Secondly, even though they are for sale, I have not seen or heard of anyone actually owning one. And lastly, they are to expensive for what you get. Just my .02
