Dell Warranty?

How would I check warranty status on a Dell Monitor? Do I need like the serial number from the seller or how does that work?

Leaning towards buying a 2407WFP or 2007WFP...

you would need the order number and the address.

and this has to be given over the phone through a dell rep or can i check on their website?

over the phone since the monitor doesn't have a service tag.

Get the serial number (a mixture of numbers and letters, but not the express service tag), and then log onto their support site, and click on the warranty options. It's pretty easy to navigate.

I forgot to check on my 2408 when I had it, but it looks like the serial number is on the back:

Not sure if the monitor serial can be used to check the warranty status like you can with a system serial number

yea just tried online.... only service tags for computers.

Tai is probably right but I am curious if anyone recently checked the warranty of a dell monitor
