im going from a geforce 2 ultra 64mb to a 9200 128 now to a 5900ultra 256mb the dell only has a 250wat psu i just went and grabbed a no name 420 watt and wow my scores flew up dam low end psu

Honestly I am confused...

You upgraded to a now 5900 Ultra 256, but you have problems because of the PSU? :confused:

whats confusing? the FX series were power hungry, and 250 is well....sucks. Although I think he got the PSU and the new card at the same time because he didn't think the 250 would handle the new card, which it probably wouldn't have.


I sure hope you didn't spend too much on that card though :-/ shouldnt have spent over 100$ or else you got ripped off.

Oh I thought he was saying he was having problems with the new PSU, since he says he grabs a no name PSU then states, darn low end PSU
 
i got the card for 150 with vivo and i was saying dam low end psu to the stock dell pc youd think they would have @leasy a 350 in them the 250 wouldnt even let me run my mem in duel channel with this card installed
 
wow, use some punctuation... its kinda hard to tell what you said

you really shouldnt be using a no-name PSU, it can possibly blow up your system if you put some heavy use into it...

also, the 5900U isnt exactly a great card, whered you get it?
 
got it on the fprums and like i said i owne every other high end card all i need to do is go to work and take one in trade for this

Own every other high end card... as in your card is better or as in you actually own the other high end cards?
