Dell UltraSharp 2007FPW - Question

Anyone tried to connect BOTH the DVI and VGA cable from a single box to the Dell at the sametime?

I tried, only one or the other will work, but not able to have BOTH active at the sametime.

I got my 2007wfp, and it is S-IPS. I found a few dead pixels, but the thing that stood out is that I found banding! I thought that was a problem of the past. I used this website:http://forums.cgsociety.org/

The left half was on my CRT, and the right half was on the 2007wfp, and the banding is pretty obvious. I gotta say I'm pretty disappointed.

Did you get banding on yours, btw?

have you tried look at your video card driver? On original winxp install, come of the images wasn't smooth. But after ploop in the lastest Omega Driver and used the dell INF file, it worked fine.

I would have to check it when i get home. I am out of town now

But on my thinkpad T43 now, it doesn't look smooth either hehehe

I know what you mean. I'm using the 91.47 driver for my 7600gt that everyone complains about, but I don't think the that's the cause for the gradient issue.

I already called Dell for a new one. I hope I get another S-IPS, but with no dead pixels or banding issues. =)
