Dell U3011 + 2 x E2011H in PLP setup?

I am very close at buying a U3011 and 2 Dell E2011H to be used in a new PLP setup. I know the standard 'side' monitor for this setup is the 2001 or 2007 monitor as they have 1600x1200 and are IPS monitors. But they are also pricey considdered they are 20" monitors.

So i was thinking of getting the E2011H instead, which seems to have the perfect dimensions for the U3011, although they have 1600x900 and not 1200. And they are not IPS - but i can live with that.

Is there something else im missing here?
 
Well... since they are different panel type, they wont come close to being similar in color, also, the 1600x900 monitor has a much greater dot pitch than the u3011. When you put the e2011H in portrait it's going to be MUCH taller than your 30". I advise against it.
 
Well there are other ips 1600x1200 20" monitors that line up well. I believe HP made some and maybe samsung.

Samsung 214T (S-PVA [21.5"])

I was hoping to get monitors that also had the same look and feel to them as the primary 30" ;-)

Well honestly, the 2007wfp is silver and back, It matches my 3007whp very well, but because of the silver i don't see it match the u3011 very well. But then again I haven't seen the monitor next to a u3011 so I don't know. Some of the samsung models i put up are black, so go ahead and look. ^Previous Post^
 
Just checked the specs of the 2007WFP and the resolution is said to be 1680x1050 - this does not match with the U3011 250x1600 very well, does it?
 
Well that should get you started. The 2007fp also has two version, 1 is s-ips and 1 and s-pva.
Depends on the serial number.
 
Well, i took the plunge and ordered a U3011 and 2 x 2007FP (found them second hand at a good price). Thx for the help :)
 
Just curious where did you pick up the 2007fp's at? I missed them in DFS not too long ago.

This place has them for $99 each, I bought two a while back for my PLP setup. They are definitely used, some scratches on the casing but the screens themselves are like new.
