I'm also interested. I read somewhere that this is using the same panel as this

Correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

There's a thread on page 3 regarding this panel:

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1728908

It got a solid review from TFT Central here:

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2913wm.htm

I am looking at this one as well. I set my 30" panel up to do 2560x1080 to get an "idea" of what it may look like and some of the games I play look epic.
The only downside I see is the input lag in the review, and many have said that TFT Central isn't the best wqhen it comes to measuring this. I asked a guy on Youtube who had a video up how the input lag was and if there was any ghosting and he said he didn't notice any of either.

Nice to see Newegg is carrying it. Might have to grab one.

playwares reviewed the u2913 and got about 25.5ms of input lag.

people differ in their sensitivity to things like input lag, ghosting, ag coating, etc.

Apparenlty the u2913 has a "Game Mode" that drops it down to about 15-17m/s.

I've actually asked about 3-4 people on Youtube and none of them have said they are expereincing any ghosting or noticable input lag. The AG coating is listed as "Light" in TFT Centrals review.

It needs to be priced better. Just because 2560x1080 is rare, doesn't mean they should be charging the same price as 1440P. It doesn't make sense when you can use your GPUs scaler to output 2560x1080 on a 1440P monitor (with large black bars, but still).

For me, this was one of the monitors I was considering due to the very wide aspect ratio. But, I held off, continued to examine my options, and chose a 27" 1440p monitor instead and simply added the 2560x1080 resolution as a custom resolution. I'm confident I made the correct decision because while it looks great in some games, in others and in the desktop especially I just couldn't deal with such a low vertical resolution. For strategy games the more pixels the better, and the same is said for desktop usage. But, yeah, if all I did was play shooters and action games with an occasional movie it would be a great monitor. If you're curious, I went the cheap route and went with the Auria EQ276W and couldn't be happier.

$550 on dell right now. Tempting!

Awesome. It says ships in 1-2 weeks though (patience is not one of my virtues, lol). Does anybody know if it actually takes that long or is Dell pretty quick with shipping?

My 30" came very fast, but was listed as shipping within 24 hours.
