I don't know if I will be doing this to the rest of the monitors didn't have much time to test it it's late over here but looks nice so far, if you have any question ask away.

So tempting to do this to the U2711, but I'm not rich, lol.

Does that layer also serve as a protective film? or is the screen still have some sort of protection on it? I guess what I am wondering if its just the "raw" screen now? Can it be easily scratched from cleaning etc?

can you explain the steps please.

It's only the polarizer and it's extremely sensitive even your fingers can scratch it cleaning it is not recommended your only chance is to pray that your screen stays clean after pealing off the coating

Just be aware of potentially damaging the polarizer/screen when cleaning with water... like what happened to this poor guy: http://www.overclock.net/t/1230911/removing-the-anti-glare-coating-on-u2711/

Yep I know this is my secondary system now located in my penthouse. I had these screens since launch and wanted to try something new with them and I can now say after some time with the first one that I really like it shame that Dell doesn't offer ones without coating.
