I would like to purchase this monitor but would like to know what it looks like at a lower resolution of 16xx X 10xx? I will not be using this monitor for gaming purposes and my eye sight isn't the greatest. Text needs to be visible for me and i'm afraid 1920 X 1080 on a 22" isn't going to cut it.

Is this a 1920 x 1080 resolution monitor? Or is Dell just stating that this monitor can do upto a 1920 x 1080 resolution if needed?
 
If it's an LCD run it at native or else it will look horrible.

If you need text larger consider a U2312HM or a used 2209WA.
