About a year ago I was looking into building a computer through AvaDirect however some issues came up that prevented me from going through with the purchase. After looking around for a bit it would appear that it is no longer advised to buy a system through Avadirect .
I've started looking into the Dell Studio lines, more precisely the Studio Desktop and the Studio XPS Desktops. However a few questions have come up.
I'm wondering if the Studio XPS line is worth the money over the normal studio line. The computer will be used as a general purpose machine. You know internet browseing, e-mail, watching videos, listening to music, some gaming, and so on.
I've also read that they both have some noise issues and was wondering if anyone knew just how loud they are and if it was possible to make them quieter.
I have a couple older EIDE hard drives that still work just fine and was wondering if I would be able to install them into the Dells or if I would need an external enclosure.
I don't have a lot of clearance on my desk so I'm also wondering if the Dell S1909WX is any good and if not if anyone could recommend a good sub 22 inch monitor.
