Yes, I know that most people on this forum like the S2209WA, but that is out of my price range.

I currently have a 1280x1024 LCD monitor, and am looking to get something bigger.
The Dell S2209W is currently $150 at bestbuy, so was thinking that might be my best bet. The only real question I have, is how is this monitor long term for people who do programming / web work all day? I see it has 1920x1080 @ 60Hz, and the old one I have can do 1280x1024@75Hz. Or does LCD Hz not matter as much as it did on CRTs?

I didn't see anything special at officemax (the only other store that sell monitors), except for a few AOC monitors, but not sure of the quality of those, and I can't seem to find good reviews of the F22.

I rather shop local, since it is easier to return them in case of dead/stuck pixels.

Would the Dell S2209W be a good bet? Or does anyone have another good choice that is under $170?

Any advice is welcomed :)

60hz is fine on an LCD. S2209W for 150$ seems like a good deal since it is 1080p. Personally I would pick up two of these and go dual monitor. It's too expensive for you ATM but I do believe it will improve your productivity. Especially if you are moving from window to window a lot.
