Okay, I've checked around and searched, but I am not finding anything in this forum about my question, but if this is a repeat, then please excuse my ineptness...

I was looking at the dell outlet site, since things are much cheaper there, and I was wondering if anyone had purchased a refurb monitor from Dell, and how that had turned out.

Thanks.

Bump, I'm curious too. Currently looking at a refurb 2001FP...

Personally i wouldnt go with the refurbed models. More than likely they are monitors returned with dead pixels or backlight problems. I`ve also noticed that most of the prices on the outlet center are not that great. Compared to the sales dell has. For example last week they had the 25% off and a stackable $75 off. It brought the price down to 486.00 (i think). This was a great deal. I jumped on it. Just keep your eyes open on the hot deals section or in anandtechs hot deal section. They are always posting about sales and coupons for dell monitors.

I have no personal experience with refurbed models - but I suspect they're virtually as good as new (dead pixels, backlighting, are a risk with both).

But I agree with Fanatic - the prices are pretty unimpressive.

Wait for a deal.
