Right now im stuck with a dell and well... I would really like a new video card for it. I checked and I apparently have a 140 right now, which wont be enough for a new card. Is there anyway to get around this, does dell even sell PSU's and is there an adapter of some sort as I heard they wire their shit backwards or something and will fry whatever I connect unless its DELL brand ... help...

It depends on when your dell was manufactured. If you sent a pic of the main ATX connector, we'd be able to tell if it was a standard or propritary supply.

A friend GAVE me his old P3 Dell because after he found out the PSU could not be easily upgraded. It is possible to rewire the connectors, however (big PITA - at least it worked for me).

actually there are converter cables
well at least for some of the proprietaries
