Dell Precision WorkStation 620 Win2000 CD Key question

My cousin gave me one of these a while back and I was wondering what version (oem, retail, SP4, etc.) of 2000 I need to get in order for the CD Key on the box to work? According to DELL, I have to buy another CD as I'm not the original owner and the box is over 30 days old (thanks Dell...). I want to put a legit copy of 2000 on it, but I don't want to have to buy a copy just so my stupid free Dell will work... :confused:
 
Ahh, I guess I should've used different search terms. So would you assume I need the original version of 2000 (aka, with no included service packs)? The reason I ask is because I did try using a 2000 disk I had laying around and it didn't work; however, I think it included SP4 with it.
