hey guys,

i'm using the Dell Perc 4e/DC but after i insert into the system, there's no display.

When i boot, there's 2 beep sound, followed by 1 beep.

Could card be spoilt or a conflict with my system??

thanks

System specs:
Intel C2D E6300
Asus P5WDG2-WS PRo
4 x 1gb Kingston DDR667
Inno3D 8600GT

good luck configuring the card anywhere else but the bios.
Openmanage is only supported on dell systems.

The beep code sounds like the card isn't seated in the slot correctly.

when i removed the ram with BBU, it managed to boot but there was a 'no ram' error but i finally was able to POST and was able to be detected in Windows.

could it be that the PSU is insufficient to drive the system? i'm using a CoolerMaster eXtremePower 430W.

what beeps? the computer motherboard, or the PERC?
If the PERC is beeping it's something on the card.

Obviously it's the ram. Your PSU has nothing to do with it.

i think so too..

but i dun think i can find an ECC DDR1 ram to test...
