again!!! my dad ahead and ordered a pc without asking me first...
he ordered a fucking dell!!!!!
he told over the fone that he did, and he was excited and wanted me to check what was taking so long for them to ship it.
i go on his dell acount and it says "order processing" for the last two days....wtf?
two days for order processing?
that is such bullshit
and he also got 2 day shipping so he keeps on asking me when it will be at his house..
so what do u guys think?

dell doesnt ship instantly. It should have had a 'expected shipping date' or something when he checked out. He will get it ~2 days after it ships.

Dell's are reasonably ok. Its not like an old school compaq or some other tiny company.

Be glad he ordered a Dell. Now you wont have to do tech support for him. When he asks say call Dell.

It does take time and with the holidays, it will take a wee bit more. Relax, it will ship.

I think you need to learn how to type.

Dell computers are top of the line for pre-built systems. One doesn't become the leader in comercial sales because they have a crappy product.

It sounds like your father isn't very computer savy so he made an excellent choice.

Agreed. I don't like doing tech support anymore, so when anyone asks me to build them a system I tell them to get a Mac (OSX is pretty slick IMO). :D

But Dell is defnitely tops in the pre-built PC world.

My Dell SC420 shipped today. I ordered it last Wednesday I think. Couple days for processing and building (what the site says) and then shipped and then 3-5 day shipping. I'll wait 3 days for free shipping. It's usually like $70 for a system from dell when they dont have a deal going on.

I recommend Dell to everybody that has to buy a "pre-built" computer.
