at what point is no sharpness being applied? Is it at 0 or is it at 50?
(Not when sharpness is correct but when is actually no sharpness being applied)

What's the default setting in most 'display modes' or what have you? Particularly some sort of text/reader mode or a graphics/srgb mode? Or even a movie mode.

all presets have 50 as sharpness.

I was hoping to get some more indepth information on how sharpening actually works and is implemented. Someone has a good information on this?

As far as I know 50 is the default (no sharpening or if there is it doesn't have ringing artifacts etc). At least on the 3008WFP I had anything below became blurry. It's a bit weird since I can't imagine a situation where one would want a blurry image.
