New dell laptop running xp w/ sp2 firewall is disabled.

Windows 2000 server domain. Every few hours the laptop loses the network drives, icon still shows but when opened its empty. Simple logoff and logon fixes the problem. What would cause this? We have other windows xp computers on the domain that are fine. This laptop is the only one having this problem. It logins to the domain, server script runs and maps all relevant drives.

I even tried adding the network drive through map network drive and checking reconnect at logon, didn't help at all.

Eventlog on the client and server are both clean.

Was this laptop a rebuild? What I mean is, was a user profile transfered to this system? Had that happen to me once where I didn't copy everything over correctly like ntuser.dat. I could map the network drives then it would lose it completley.

Was a rebuild, but we didn't copy any user profiles over. Just started from scratch. Do I need to reset the user on the server somehow?
