I ordered a Dell Dimension 8400 this past Monday.

It got here today.. They sent me two 19" LCDs Monitors, Two 4700s, and Two sets of speakers...

I'm pissed straight off the wall..

Can ANYONE host the pics for me?

I'm thinking about harassing over the phone, sending back and building AMD.
 
Isn't that worth more than what you paid for? I guess it depends on the specs of what you ordered. If it is worth more, I might just keep it and sell it elsewhere to make a profit :p.
 
thats awesome, you can sell the 4700s and the speakers and buy a 8400 and have dual 19" lcds.

I wish that happened to me, although i'd prolly keep one 4700 for a server
 
I wish that had happend to me... I would tke the 2 moniters and sell the 4700s and buy the 8400 again, or mabey order form a company that doesnt use perpriataery PSUs and mobos, and likes AMD, your getting probly a A GRAND more in parts then you paid for and your pissed? tahts crazy.

Ebay the 4700s and build your own with dual LCDs.
 
I use that monitor on a daily basis at work, I love it.
If Dell put two in my recent order I would not be complaining one bit.
Granted I got the Ford Focus Dell, so I guarantee they made sure I got the crap I ordered. But mine was all free.

I agree with everyone else though, sell the PC and build something better with dual monitors.

I guess free dell comps are okay, but I'd rather have a swimming pool full of jello.

Guys i think the thread starter is a girl so she might not be interesting in a gaming setup like two LCD's side by side....

it makes wondering how many female members are actually on this ....
 
Um, isn't this person being charged for the hardware they sent? I mean, I may be wrong, but I don't think that Dell will just say, "ooops, we made a mistake so go ahead and keep everything". Plus, even if the charge is for what was ordered, it doesn't exactly make up for getting the wrong stuff. My advice is to contact Dell and pitch a bitch. Just make sure they not only send you what you ordered, but something for the hassle as well... ;)
 
I would be concerned that I would be charged for the additional hardware at sometime. But if that is not your concern, sell the extra pieces and pocket the cash.

The right thing to do is contact Dell and get a return shipping pickup (and maybe a little extra for the effort).

I thought about selling one for $1000 monitorless, then get a 6600GT and another 512mb of RAM. For Dualies.

yes yes ....i know girls game too and ive got beaten by them real bad recently. but more guys than girls I think when it comes to gaming. I'll apologize if I offended anyone unwittingly. Well, guys tend to do certain things that girls wouldnt like to do and vice versa. That definitely holds I believe...

this happened to a friend of mine when he ordered a Gateway, they sent two systems and he thought he was going to get away with it scot free, he did for about a month, then he started receiving letters and phone calls about wanting the computer back before they started charging him for it.
 
So, dell is giving me a Digital Juke Box in compensation.. and it should be here Wednesday

Or you just insulted a very metrosexual male who doesn't want to be bothered by ebay or the idea of being charged down the road.
I'm glad this wasn't just blamed on FedEx, those people jump through hoops to make sure nothing gets messed up on dell shipments.

 
Jeez, how'd they make that mistake? That's just bad arithmetic - 4700+4700=/=8400. I could understand if they sent you 2 4200s...
