Dell GX260

It looks like it supports Northwood P4 CPUs (512KB L2 ones) and has an AGP4x slot according to the specs.

You should really consider how much you want to dump on a single channel PC2100 memory/ 533MHz FSB max system.

So I could get any AGP 4X/8X card then??
And Just look for a Northwood cpu w/ 512 l2 cache (any other considerations with compatability..?)

I figure I could get these used or new at a pretty good price considering they would be old tech, I just sold my intense overclocked amd system so I just got this to "get by"

The 2.8/533 is the fastest affordable chip for that board. The 3.06/533 is a bit faster, plus it has HyperThreading, but be prepared to pay through the nose for one. (An 800-bus processor will underclock if it's installed, so get a 533-bus chip.)

Depending on the version of the board/chipset - you may not be able to go past the 533/2.8ghz cpu

The 3.06 is a oddball. Some of the 533 boards choke on the HT as well. I find it's easier to pretend it doesn't exist.

The GX260 supposedly supports the P4 3.06GHz with BIOS A03 and later. Dell did sell the GX260 in that configuration. IMO it's not worth it for @ $150+ for one of those.
