There is definitely a severe lack of a forum folder for "Accessories" including mobile music players, keyboards and mice, and other such things. So I'm rambling here instead. I did see "Apple Products" which had some iPod discussions... but I couldn't find a good folder for this. Anyway, I lucked out and got the Dell DJ 15GB shipped w/ tax for just under $137. I saw Dell "dropped the price to $149" but it's back to $199 on their site... so I guess they didn't "really" drop it after all. So I'm quite happy with the price, particularly compared to $250+ players, some with only 4GB of storage. Anyway, the DJ is a great little device. Sure, it's not perfect. We'll see some nice things in the near future, like photo viewing (iRiver), and we've already seen some very nice interfaces (iPod, Zen Touch), but this still gets the job done pretty well. For the price, I really can't complain at all. My girlfriend, at first, said "I don't know how to do anything" but minutes later she was making voice recordings and listening to them, listening to music, and seeing what all the different buttons and menu options do. It's really not too complicated. About the only glitch was that she kept hitting Home and Back buttons as if maybe they were left and right... they are probably the least intuitive buttons until you memorize what they do, and which one is on which side. So I say, if you can get one of these at a great price, and aren't an elite snob that MUST have the latest iPod, then give it a try. I don't think you'll be too disappointed. I know Tom's Hardware had it's share of complaints, but at the $250 price point, and with the earliest firmware revisions, I guess that's to be expected. Since then, the refinement has definitely come a couple of strides, and I don't think you'll feel like you're "beta testing a new product".
