Quick question, I know dell is particular about using in-house parts on their computers. Is it possible to use a card from New Egg. He's limited by his PSU, however he could probably use a 4650 which would be a huge upgrade from his X1300XT. The upgrades on the website are way over priced and kind of pointless, I think there is a 2600XT he could buy but it's far more expensive. Let me know if anyone has any experience with this. Thanks!

My brother is running a 4670 on like a 320 watt psu. If his is around that he can pop one of this in easily.

Yeah I think his PSU is okay, he has a pretty decent Core 2 Duo as well. I just know Dell is a real pain about using other people's hardware. Just want to know if there will be any complications with them. How much better is the 4670 from the 4650? He typically runs 1650x1080.

The 4670 is the most powerful video card I would trust with the very limited PSU you have in the e520. It is also a very small card and should fit with no problem. For 1680x1050, I think the 4670 would be a better choice than the 4650.
