Is my Dell Dimension 4600 motherboard standatd ATX size?
I wanna keep the case, but not if I can't stick my GA8IGX in it...

Most of the manufacturers mid tower cases are standard ATX however they sometimes make changes that would only allow their boards to fit.

From Googling it seems a micro atx board will be your best bet.

Thanks for the reply. Guess I'll be on the lookout for a new case once i reach the coveted 50 posts required in the fs forum...

Waiting on my 50 posts as well. Although ppl have suggested to just post everywhere to meet the requirement, I can't imagine posting randomly on stuff I don't have a real opinion on. Granted I've only been heavy on H for the past few weeks.

Im trying to get my 50 post as well. I just started last night and Im at 23 already. Ive been actually doing useful posts.

I've got about 15 posts to go (14 now). LOL.

This might turn into the '50 Post Count' thread. LOL :D

Oddly enough I was able to post in the For Sale/Trade thread a some months ago. I completed a transaction with another [H] member. I guess this 50post count was implemented sometime since then. Still a good thing though, might bring the abuse down a bit.

didn't google it, but I know someone with one, and its got to be a MicroATX, b/c the case is short with a PSU at the top. So no way a full ATX would fit in it.

The power supplies are standard ATX and have been that way for the past 4-5+ years. The stand offs for the motherboard I'm pretty sure are standard (micro)ATX. So you should be ok. Though the airflow is designed for a passive cooled heatsink in a certain place using that green shroud, etc. SO things might be tight or not fit correctly.

You'd probably be best off with a new case. You could reuse the power supply, drives, etc.. or you could just sell the Dell as a whole working computer (worth more). And build yourself a nice little completely brand new system.
