Dell D600 CPU upgrade?

yep, buy a faster Pentium M. I don't know if it will handle Dothan or not, but odds are in your favor.

i'm pretty sure you just have to upgrade your bios and you be able to drop the dothan in

Ok, so having a 1.4, can I get a 2.0ghz? And what kinda bios do I have to get? (sorry, i'm new to notebook cpu upgrades

Gotta upgrade the Dell D600 with Dell D600 BIOS only. Some Latitude and Inspiron models can cross BIOS flash, but unless you have a reason, I don't recommend it.

Cool, so let me get this straight.

All i have to do is download the appropriate bios upgrade, and buy a new cpu? What does a typical pentium M 2.0ghz run? or what should i pay for it?

Dayum, I wonder if its worth the upgrade?

By the time I add another 512mb of memory, and upgrade the cpu to 2.0ghz, thats a good portion of a new laptop!

Let me ask my friend if he has an extra one. Send me a PM if youre interested.
