i have a dell comp. my video card...well it sucks. all i have are pci slots and i was wondering if ne one could tell me which one is the best. my current card is a 34mb intel. please refrain from the jokes

you're not gonna get much out of that PCI slot...this is a good deal better though...
or you could get this one , but neither of these cards are high end...but it's the best you can get with only PCI slots

I'd say the fx5200 would be your best option. If for some reason make matters, the ati 9100 would be your choice but I would stick with the fx5200.

don't expect to play Doom 3 or HL2 you can play most games at decent resolutions/FPS.

either way it'll be WAYYY better than what you are running now.

For that, we'd need to know how fast your CPU is :).

Ahh, the joys of built in video and no AGP ports :(.

Pretty silly cost-cutting measure given how much upgradeability it takes away. I bought a motherboard for something like 60$ that managed to have built in networking/audio/video while still retaining an AGP port.

Don't forget: If you're looking for a REAL speed increase, you could use this as an opportunity to plan and build yourself a custom rig.

well my cpu is 1.8ghz. and yes...my comp sucks but i dont really wanna put in the investment for a new comp unless i really need to because all the games i have now run fine.... but the fps arnt that great for a few and i was hoping the new card would boost them up a lil. i wanna run hl2/doom3 but i dont wanna buy new stuff for those games when i can play/watch them at my friends house ;).

1.8A should be fine for these games. A 1.8 Willy or Celeron is questionable. The best bet for you would be to get a new motherboard with an AGP slot, add in a graphics board, then get a new CPU if you feel like you need to.
