Anybody know if you can buy just a dell server case and if so where? I'd like to get a hold of a dell 2u server case or something as close to as possible.

your only chance might be ebay

but they are rare
 
i've checked ebay, they have a few dell cases but most are laptops, a few desktops, and 2 server cases(the old old style)
 
like i said, its rare

because i would certainly have a few dell poweredge 4600 cases by now if i knew where to get them ;)
 
Go to ebay and search for "dell poweredge" and you get alot of results but no cases so expect to pay like $500 or so. Anyways you can just gut the Dell and sell the pieces back on ebay of something, hell if they have PCI-X I might be interested.
