I looking to put together a couple of new machines, but they need to match the Dell 530 cases or my wife will fuss. I've heard dell has switched over to using ATX boards, but the was wondering how true this was and if the dell 530/531 case series requires much work to put in a non Dell motherboard into it.

I am using the vostro 200 case which is identical to the 530 except its black. The only mod that is required is you have to cut out the dell i/o back plate as theres is fixed. Fits matx motherboard perfectly. I also updated the power supply. It requires little to change every thing over.

Awsome, I was looking at the one I had last night and thought that cutting out the face plate would be all that was needed. thanks for the quick response.

Anyone know if the dell 530 case is big enough to hold the EVGA 8800GTS Superclocked video card????? Trying to find the smallest case possible to accommodate that big ass card
