Alright so i got this old dell the other day and i opened it up and found it had a video card in it since the mobo didnt have a VGA port on it. All i know is that its a AGP card and its not really that good since of a heatsink not a fan. How can i tell wat kind it is and how can i overclock it? Anyone know of any programs online i could download?

Go to Control Panel -> Display -> Settings

click Advanced. Tell me what it says.

Yep, thats your card. It sure is old... you may be able to play some older games but that card is weak nowadays. I don't think that overclocking it would make much of a difference.

This is indeed true. It was new in about...winter '98/spring '99, IIRC.

You can probably get a better one for cheap. But if you have money on you, I'd recommend a full build.

No need to :) That card would be fine in a machine used for email/browsing/photoshop or a server... pretty much anything but a game box. No fan to die, and nvidia still supports it in the forceware drivers.
