Dell 3007WFP - stuck in test mode

Very general question, and I do not really have any info to share. Someone is selling a Dell 3007WFP for a good price, but it is apparently stuck in "test mode" and requires a factory unlock (?). Apparently there are no dead pixels, just this "test mode" issue. I have no pictures, or any other info than what I posted. My google searches didn't yield any answers.

Does anybody know if this is a problem that can be fixed outside of sending it to Dell? If so, then I'd love to grab this while it is still available.

There is no factory menu on that model. The test mode comes up when there's no signal.

Too bad, but that's what I was expecting. I would have liked to gotten the 3007 for that price. Thanks for the help.
