Hello,

I`m from Germany - so sorry for my english.

I have the 3007 Dell screen with an EVGA 7900 GTX card. Sometimes I have the phenomenon, that some single pixels (up to 5) start to flash. They are always white and in the left corner of the screen. They are flashing for approx. 5 seconds and than they dissapear. This happens in the IDLE Mode (card temp. around 48 degreas) / Desktop picture. Don`t know if this happens also under load. Never saw this under load.

I changed the cable, I changed the card from an XFX to an EVGA. But it is still the same.

It is not a big problem. As I said, it is not always. Sometimes everything is o.k for 3 or 4 weeks, but than they flash again - and dissapear.

Do you have an idea?????

Different people had the same problem here (not me though). Traced it down to a couple of causes:

1.) Video card drivers - some had to check 'Alternate LCD timing mode' or something like that in their ATI card control panels. Seeing you have NVidia, that might not be the problem.

2.) You must use the exact cable that came with the monitor. It'll be labeled 'Dual-link DVI cable' (or at least mine is). Maybe a faulty cable?

3.) Video card overheating - but you've ruled that out.

4.) Bad power source? Some people have problems until they use a good (not necessarily expensive) power brick.

5.) Faulty monitor - call Dell to have it replaced.

Did I miss anything?

Hope that helps.

Thank you DusanV

To 1 - 3: I think its not my problem

To 4: I have an "expensive" 620W power delivery

To 5: I think this is possible
