Dell 3007 Question

Thinking about upgrading to a Dell 3007. My question is around hardware. My current system is about two years old and am using a EVGA 7800 GTX KO (256 meg version).

About the only game I play is Age of Empires - and that is rare. Will this card be sufficient for that or do I need to upgrade the video card? Is the card at least sufficient to just run the monitor while surfing the web and running business apps?

I'm hoping to get a couple of more months before rebuilding my machine but would like to go ahead and upgrade to a better monitor.

Thanks for your input.

Question is why do you want a bigger monitor if thats all you pretty much do?

You shouldn't have a problem powering that monitor for that game.

Mainly for the space and the fact that my six year old 21" NEC CRT eats up a large portion of desk space. Granted the 3007 is large but it doesn't have near the footprint of my current monitor.

I used to play a lot of FPS games but frankly haven't played a good one in quite a while. I'm sure once DX10 becomes standard and I rebuild my machine with the latest, greatest CPU and video card I'll get back into it.
