Dell has the 30" at $999 lets say you get the 4 year warranty = $1060 - 150 is $910.

Dell Gift Card so if you get two $500 gift cards... that would be 1080$ you could use that would bring the price down to $730. Hopefully the 30" monitor goes to $999

Reward Chart
Total Purchase Amount → Reward
$300.00 - $399.00 → $50.00
$400.00 - $499.00 → $75.00
$500.00 → $90.00

Amex $150 when synced to dell.

If I'm reading this right one would have to use an AMEX card to purchase (2) $500 gift cards (on (2) transactions) and they would then receive (2) $90 Dell promotional gift cards that MUST be used within 90 days. And somewhere the Dell 30" monitor is $999, but not on Dell's main website.

So the price is $999 + tax & shipping (where applicable) - $180 (in future Dell $$$) - $150 AMEX cash back = $669 + tax & shipping (where applicable).

A link to the $999 price would be nice because this is a pretty hot deal.

So how are you going to make a purchase of $599+ with your American Express AND pay with gift cards? You can't make a purchase of more than $500 for the gift cards, and it's not a Dell site anyway, so that won't fly.

Fail deal is full of fail.

I can only make it go down to 820:

Make two purchases of gift card(500 each) would give you reward of $90 x 2 = 180.

Now use these two gift card to go buy the monitor(which assume it's tax free LOL) it would be ~1k- 180 = 820.

Not sure where that Amex $150 come from. WTH??

Well, considering we are all just dreamin here....In for 3!!! I'll figure out how much I save in the end! :p;)

Sorry about that. Just couldn't resist. Anyone find the link to it for $999?

I wonder why the OP didn't think of the following. It makes as much sense.

1) Buy 2 x $500 gift cards. Get $180 promo credit.
2) Buy 2 x $500 gift cards with the 2 x $500 gift cards you previously purchased. Get a total of $360 promo credit.
3) Rinse. Repeat.
4) Make your first million (in Dell promo credits, that is).

i bought 3 for eyefinity before the price goes back up. will call to get my discounts reimbursed later.

This would be perfect, but I am pretty sure Dell wont let you buy a Gift card with a Gift card. :p

All of you didn't read the post carefully its all based on HOPE!

:D:D:D:D:D:D

Yeah, this is a terrible post. How does "Dell 30" at $730" equate to "I'm hoping Dell drops the price on the 30" by $400 while this offer is still valid"?

The FW link I posted had a message left by someone who basically managed to something similar to what OP posted.
So IF the price drops back down to $999 again before Dec 28 (it did in early December) AND IF you managed to get the $150 Amex twitter discount(expired back on Dec 8 or something) AND you use AMex to buy the $500 x 2 giftcards, then you can get that price.

So another words a lot of IF and AND :D

To me a [H]ot deal has a strict one hoop limit and can't require a magic lamp with a genie that grants wishes. This is not a hot deal.

Apparently it was at $999 a couple times, mid-Nov and early-Dec. I guess it's a heads up to check everyday if you're super interested in this model.
