Found a 2709W on a site I could pick up for really cheap, 160USD cheap.
Have read threads bout it and its lag input affecting performance and such and how it is apparently fixed to an extent in a A01 revision. The monitor is apparently a A02 revision.
I game and general web browsing more than anything, so not a lot of design work in photoshop going on so this is why im asking about the input lag.
Auction is just for the monitor and power cable, apparently no dead pixels or backlight bleeding, he still believes its under manufacturers warranty but has no receipt

Does anyone here have one and can comment on the input lag or any other problems with the monitor, at this low price seems a little too good to be true...

By the way this would be an upgrade from a AOC 2236vw, a lower end TN full HD 21.5"

Thanks

At that price you jump all over it as long as you have some form of buyer protection imho. Or PM me the link and I will!

What sort of games btw? Even relatively bad input lag is only an issue in twitch shooters. You can play RPGs, RTSs, ect just fine with a little input lag.

Well it is pick up only and the seller has said if youre not satisfied with it when you go to pick it up then you dont have to buy it type thing.
I play mostly shooters, BC2 atm, BF3 later in the year, some occasional RPGs but not a lot

edit: Will PM you the link, Ohio is satisfyingly far enough away for me

Was thinking the same thing, how much would you guys go up to with it on auction? I was thinking 250 and possibly stretching out to 300 USD

$300-400 still pretty common in these days for a 2709W with no displaying problem at all.

<$200 really sounds too good. Check carefully when going to pick up. If no problems then lucky you!

PM me this link as well. I got some family in Ohio if that's where the company is from and they can check as well.

I have one as my primary display and I like it a lot. One thing you need to watch out for is the H/W rev. If it is A00 you will have problems with the touch sensitive buttons. Mine is rev a01 and it is fine. Input lag is there, about 3 to 4 frames. The truth is you can adjust to it if you try. I think most people over rate their gaming skills, but if you are competing with friends that have faster displays, you could be at a disadvantage. I would not give more than $350 for it.

@Firebean
Will PM you link as well and I meant Ohio which is where kueller is which is far enough from me to not worry bout him going for it as well

@Dave
This one is an A02 and fair points too

Also if this monitor's input lag is 3-4 frames, how does that compare say with a low end typical TN panel, a typical IPS screen and a "gaming" TN monitor?

A typical TN or IPS should only have 0-1 frame on average, though some of the IPS panels (esp those with scalers) will have up to 2 frames of lag on average. As dave mentioned, you can get used to the input lag. Depending on how sensitive you are to it, you may not even notice it.
