Hi, I have the dell 27inch LCD monitor... it has a resolution of 1920x1200... I want to know if this monitor is still for keeping or should I sell it for a newer LED..

LED backlighting is just marketing garbage, the only benift of LED backlighting is slimmer cases and power savings. LED backlit LCD monitors almost always have worse screen uniformity than CCFL backlit monitors and there are no S-PVA 27" 1200p monitors like the 2707 being made any more.

Yep. The only decent LED is RGBLED array (and not this edge lit WLED crap), but I don't think we have any desktop panels with that :p

The 1920 x 1200 resolution is pretty good for text size. You can scale windows 7 but it is a hassle for some programs.

30 inches can become too big actually....having to spin your head to see the other side of the screen.
Your Dell is a keeper You got 30K hours to go

I was mainly wondering for gaming. I did notice the off text size on the 1920x1080 screens though.

If you are gaming it will be a vast improvement. The older S-PVA panels had a ton of input lag.

^my brothers into gaming and games on my 2408wfp and has not once complained about input lag and consistantly is the top ranked player in the servers he plays in. I don't game much but the input lag thing is exaggerated out of proportion. I say hold onto the 2707wfp. S-PVA is very rare today and jumping IPS from S-PVA is hard to get used to the white glow and much poorer contrast (trust me i tried it, ended up sending the monitor back).
