Dell 27": 2702WFP

I'm interested to see how much they'll be asking for this puppy. If it's too much I'll go ahead and get the a 30".

Edit: How is Dell's return policy on monitors? Could I buy the 27" and decide I'd rather have the 30" and just ship it back? Straight swap, but I pay the difference?

for the price, I'm guessing it will be around the 900-1000+ range...for that amount I'd rather buy a westinghouse =D

I like that: "Dell 2702WFP leaked"

That photo was on Dell site and was mistakenly being used for the 2007WFP. It was up over a week while people were posting in Dell forums asking about it.

Will wait for addition images, but from what I've seen up to this point - it looks to be a step backward for Dell design.

This can be a stupid question but can you get a 27 inch LCD Monitor with
max res of 2560x1600 instead of a 30 inch LCD?

Is the question – 'in theory' or ‘where do I get mine'?

In theory, sure – many laptop monitors have a similarly small pixel pitch, so its technically possible to do so. However, AFAIK, they don’t make them in 27 inch sizes at that resolution.

I believe this monitor is going to be anounced at ces, hopefully this one won't suffer some of the problems the 24 incher is. I could be into this one if it isn't. I am into gaming and I don't think the high pitch will bother me, but the extra inches will make it a little more immersive.

I'm also hoping this will be shown in CES. The 2407 was disappointing, especially after the excellent 2405. Hopefully this one will be improved and won't cost too much more. If nothing else this could help drive down prices.

One question... does anyone know why the model number is 2702? I'd have thought it would be 2707 to fit in with the rest of the current line. Or is this part of another "generation" of Dell monitors?

24 Season 6. Looks suspiciously like a new 24" or 27" monitor from Dell.

I may have missed previous indications of these new Dell monitors within 24.
