I am going to buy one tomorrow from Dell Home & Office they offer the WFP. I click costomize it. Next page they switch my order to the FPW. From my research I belive the FPW is 12ms & the WFP is 6ms. So I call, sailsmen says they are the same. If they are the same screen why the different letters? does any body know what is going on here? THANKS

So in other words it will be 6ms g to g responce time & not 12ms no matter what letters of the 2407-A03 are. For I don't wan't a 12ms responce time, I game a little.

I think the model numbers are wrong. The 2405FPW is the previous model with 12 ms GtG (grey to grey) and 16 ms BtW(black to white), while the 2407WFP is the newer with 6 ms GtG and 16 ms BtW. :)

fpw stand for flat panel wide.

This came about because the first dell flat panels were designated by the fp. THen when wide models came about they appened the w for wide. But of couse wide flat panel sounds better than flat panel wide (damm grammar constraints). I believe the official model name is 2407wfp but again it often gets referenced by the older fpw.

Thanks, another good explanation. First touched a computer 14 months ago, with the amazing amount of abbreviations in the digital world some times they just don't click ;) Panel is ordered, should be here some time next week. Looking forward to it

Grats, I love mine. All the bs about it aside its still an awesome panel and I don't regret it one bit. ;)
